Company Managing Director Emyr Jones celebratres 30 years of service to the Shepherd Gilmour name. After leaving Swansea University, Emyr headed to Manchester without knowing anyone. He started working for Peter Gilmour on the 3rd of September 1990 as a Graduate Structural Engineer and later moved across to specialise in Infrastructure development. In 2010 Emyr took overall control of SGi Shepherd Gilmour and the company has continued to grow and expand its Client portfolio, not only in the North West but throughout the UK. Despite the challenging conditions, SGi currently has over 650,000sq.ft of industrial development onsite and a pipeline of over a 1million sq.ft which will be starting on site in the coming 12 months. The high-rise residential development team have a string of development throughout the UK. Trilogy, Duet, Cornbrook Hub, Pomona Wharf, Liverpool Waters, Chatham Waters have all been delivered during the last four years with another phase in Media City starting onsite in September. Although Emyr is just the wrong side of 50! (despite his denials) his enthusiasm for construction is just as strong as it was 30 years ago.
