Modern sports & leisure facilities require a high degree of design clarity; this means that the design team must work closely together with other departments. We have a extensive track record of working in this way, and revel in the chance to share our ideas.
Our design of sports & leisure projects ranges from football & sports stadia, specialist sports & leisure facilities, to mixed-use developments where sports & leisure amenities play a significant part in the project. Our experience includes the private & public sectors.
We tailor our services to suit specific client & user needs including optimising spectator viewing, working around existing facilities, understanding the needs of the local community, and adding retail aspects to increase commercial viability. And of course, sustainability now plays a large part the design process.
Our projects include the Belfry Hotel & Golf Resort, a £200m project involving remodelling the world-class golf facilities as well as a new 550-bed 8-storey luxury hotel; and the redevelopment of Turnberry, the luxury hotel & golf resort in Ayrshire, Scotland which hosted the 2009 British Open Golf Championships.
Our sports, leisure & stadia work is extensive and includes the 25,000 all-seat DW Stadium for Wigan Athletic FC & Wigan Warriors RLFC, stands for Crewe Alexandra FC, Oldham Athletic FC and Leeds United FC. We are currently working on a new 10,000-seat stadium together with surrounding commercial, leisure and retail park facilities for Macclesfield Town Football Club.
