Shepherd Gilmour have significant experience of projects within the retail sector involving a range of different project types from out-of-town retail parks, city centre shopping centres, as well as working for prestigious retail brands.
We understand the exacting requirements of our clients, namely the need to maximise new floor area, thus allowing the return on investment to be increased.
Many of our previous projects have involved mixed-use development incorporating retail units into ground floors of apartment buildings or as part of a larger business park where retail elements are mixed with leisure facilities.
One of our most significant current projects is the Menai Centre in Bangor, North Wales. It is a new town centre shopping centre and will create 250,000 sq.ft. of retail space, built on a complex site.
We are engaged by Warner Estates and have worked on the re-development of shopping centres at Sale and Middleton, with other projects following. These projects are predominantly non-food retail and involve extensions upto 500,000 sq.ft.
Our recent experience of stand-alone units includes work for Aldi, Marks & Spencer, Sainsburys, and Manchester’s Kendals store.
