Pat Jones has become Huddersfield Town’s first Under-19 player to be sponsored for the 2020/21 season after SGi Consulting Engineers showed him their support!

The winger, who has been capped by Wales’ Under-19s, was named on Huddersfield Town’s bench for the Club’s Sky Bet Championship win over Watford in December 2020 and scored in the FA Youth Cup against Newcastle United.

After witnessing Jones’ potential, SGi Consulting Engineers have decided to back him for the remaining campaign.

SGi Consulting Engineers are a civil and structural engineering consulting company working on schemes throughout the UK.

Due to a number of milestone projects in Yorkshire and the wider North East, they have been keen to look at sponsorship which would allow them to create a brand presence within the North East construction community, and as part of their ongoing Community and Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment they identified this sponsorship opportunities with Huddersfield Town.

Currently SGi are acting as Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineers for a 300,000sq ft speculative Industrial development by PLP, located off Junction 40 of the M1 in Wakefield. Just South of Doncaster SGi are acting on an exciting employment generating scheme promoted by Butternut Box on Tritax’s Symmetry Park. In 2021 SGi are progressing with the design of a 550,000sq ft new Industrial development in Sheffield which again is located minutes away from the M1.

Their Build to Rent, high rise teams are looking at a number of city centre developments in Leeds, the most prominent of which is an £80 million, 30 storey development in the heart of the City Centre. Their infrastructure team have recently completed due diligence for the purchase of a scheme consented for over 400 new homes, Office, Retail and associated community infrastructure scheme in York and they hope to continue with the Offsite Highway work design in early 2021.

After sponsoring the Young Terrier, they commented:

“Sponsoring Patrick Jones follows our policy of CSR contribution.

“Patrick is a talented youngster having played for Wales’ U19 and is knocking on the door of the First Team at Huddersfield Town having already been picked on the bench for the First Team’s recent victory against Watford.

“We find that sponsoring young talent such as Patrick helps us promote our brand in important geographical areas of growth.”

Player sponsorship is still available at Huddersfield Town, so if you’re a family, business or just a supporter of the Terriers, you can sponsor a member of Carlos Corberán’s First Team squad!
